Work at Home Moms

This page is full of info for stay at home moms looking to earn a little money.  After I lost my job of 11 years I was desperately trying to find ways to make money at home while I was waiting for the phone to ring with potential employers wanting to interview me.  I tried everything including paid surveys, paid emails, typing at home, call center customer service, selling items on Ebay and building websites.  I've outlined what has worked for me, how I started and how I'm doing now.  Also, I've added some great "work at home" links and "mom" sites I have found that have helped me along the way.  I hope this helps anyone trying to help contribute to their family's income.  Also, for daily updates, follow my blog at http://www.neeneesjourney.blogspot.com.

Paid Surveys and Emails


Paid Surveys can definitely generate income for you, but it's a lot of work and most of the surveys want you to sign up for trial offers in order to get paid the most money.  These are all ok, but read the fine print and make sure to cancel your free trial within the time given or you will be charged for the "not so free" free trail.  However, there are numerous surveys on each site that are totally free offers and although they only generate .50 or $1.00 per survey, you could potentially make about $50 a day if you did it for several hours each day.  If you did approximately 10 surveys per hour you could be making $5.00 - $10.00 per hour just sitting at your computer answering questions.  That's $250 a week extra income!  I suggest downloading Roboform (www.roboform.com) before you start doing any surveys, it will automatically fill in your name, address, phone number, email address, etc. each time you go to a new survey, which saves a lot of time!  

Paid Emails only give you approximately $.02 per email, but all you have to do is sign up for them and they just come to you.  Then just open the email and click on the link that says "Confirm this Paid Email".  No, you won't get rich, but while you're checking your regular emails why not get paid to read a few.  If you sign up with several companies you'll receive about 20 or more a day.  I agree .40 to .60 a day is nothing, but all you're doing is a 1 second click and before you know it you'll be receiving a check each month.

Sell Your Unwanted Stuff on Ebay or Craigslist

Clean out the garage, basement, closets and your child's tossed aside toys and you could be making money on Ebay or Craigslist.   Both are free to join but Ebay charges nominal fees for listings, whereas Craigslist is free, but not as safe as Ebay.  I prefer Ebay only because it's a safer way to guarantee your payments (thru Paypal, which is also free to join).  Selling your unwanted items is a great way to generate a little extra income, and for the most part, it's easy to get started.  Feel free to email me (below) with any questions or problems you may have getting started and I'll be happy to help. 

At Home Customer Service

I actually found a real company that employs At Home Agents for all their customer service needs.  They have lots of ongoing projects and jobs, provide paid training and flexible schedules.  The company name is Cloud10 Corporation.  They are professional and legitimate.  After you apply you have to jump through a few hoops (answer a lot of questions, have a phone interview,submit a test of your computer's performance, etc), but it's well worth it to be able to work from home while the kids are at school and they guide you through every step.  I have done a couple projects for them and received my check, on time and as promised.
