Backyard Camping
The next time the kids are bored and you have no weekend plans, try camping in the backyard. Throw up a tent and your sleeping bags and sleep outside. Use your firepit for a real campfire to tell stories, roast marshmallows and make s'mores. The kids will have a blast and you will too!
Clothesline Fort
This easy clothesline fort gives kids shade and privacy for tea parties, secret clubs or just outdoor play. The construction is fairly simple, with its design depending on the length of your clothesline, the size of your yard and how many sheets you want to use.
To make the fort, string three clotheslines between trees and other tall structues (one clothesline should be higher to form the roof). Then hang several sheets to form the walls and roof and clip them in place with clothespins.
